Opportunity: A top Construction Company/Developer in Maryland is searching for a Business Developer-Sales Representative to join their team. This person will be responsible for presenting the company’s capabilities to the Baltimore-Washington urban residential and commercial development market and seeking out new business opportunities. The company seeks to leverage its WBE-pending status for future business development.
Requirements: The right candidate will have a personality that interacts well with clients and be responsible for client development and building long-tem relationships. Typical construction project markets for this reputable company include residential or commercial gut and rehab, residential home renovations, multi-family and Section 8 renovations for various government and quasi government housing authorities. This client specializes in construction projects with complex logistics. Typical development projects for this company include urban in-fill projects, new residential construction and mixed use development,. They have a great reputation as being a top-caliber builder throughout the area and pride themselves on repeat business. It is essential to have established contacts and construction experience in the Baltimore-DC market but a strong record of achievement in similar markets would be appreciated.
Experience Required: Must have construction knowledge and background in residential and commercial gut and rehab. Previous work experience with a General Contractor and a previous role in estimating would be an asset for this candidate. Background in selling construction services to local county governments or federal government is strongly recommended. A rolodex of 1) local county government contacts and 2) large builders looking to sub out work to WBE partners is essential.
