The Defense and Maritime Solutions Business Unit currently has an opening for a Site Project Manager with our customer in Salem, Oregon.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate selected for a Site Project Manager (“SPM”) position will provide oversight, coordination, integration and administrative services at multiple Project Sites. In addition to coordinating with the customer and its staff, the SPM will work closely with the A&E Contractor, the CM/GC, Consultant Staff and particularly the responsible PPM and other independent contractors engaged by the customer. The SPM is responsible to the PPM and the PMO for the achievement of Project goals for the assigned Sites. The candidate selected for a SPM position must have substantial experience and expertise in the construction of communications site infrastructure project management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business discipline. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a degree. 8+ years years experience in total Project Management experience with 5+ years as a Project Manager directing the build of a Site. The SPM will have the skill to perform the following:
o Manage the customer and vendor project teams
0 Detailed knowledge of MS Project
o Radio Project coordination and integration methods
o Construction management and scheduling
o Cost containment – estimate project costs – prevent cost
creep
o Scheduling – estimate project time – prevent time-base
creep
o Performance management – prevent performance scope creep
o Change order management – effectively manage change
orders
o Time management – effectively and efficiently manage
one’s time and the time of subordinates
o Risk management – risk identification, assessment,
response development,
o contingency planning, and response control including
Project Safety Programs and Project Security.
o Change management/control – manage process change
